Republicans prove they’re despicable by having NO shame. If we as humans do not feel shame in doing something wrong, or in getting caught doing something wrong, what guardrails exist? When the powerful can’t be embarrassed by the bad choices they make, people suffer, democracy erodes, institutions crumble, justice is strangled and lies proliferate.
