Trump floats deporting U.S. citizens to El Salvador
After sending hundreds of Venezuelan nationals to a maximum security prison in El Salvador with virtually no due process, today, while meeting with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump floated the idea of deporting “homegrown criminals,” meaning American citizens, to those facilities.

CBS News obtained an internal government list of the 238 Venezuelan immigrants deported and sent to a notorious El Salvador prison. A woman’s husband, who was an asylum seeker, was on the list. CBS News’ Lilia Luciano has the story.
