Per an article at gawker, a memo entitled “A Plan for Putting the GOP on TV News,” buried in the the Nixon library details a plan between Ailes and the White House to bring Pro GOP stories to television networks around the country. (see gawker complete story)

There can be no doubt that Roger Ailes dream has been realized in Fox News

In a Rolling Stone story, Tim Dickinson tells how onetime Nixon henchman Roger Ailes built Fox News into the most profitable propaganda machine in history. Ailes has amassed enormous power in the Republican Party – and the country – by pioneering a new form of political campaign, one in which Fox functions as a “giant soundstage created to mimic the look of a news operation,” disguising GOP talking points as journalism.

On the day after the president gave his State of the Union address in January, Fox News swung into full campaign mode, hammering Obama with five GOP talking points that have come to define the budget debate. The baldfaced distortions came not just from a parade of Republican politicians – who outnumbered Democrats by 3 to 1 – but from the network’s own anchors. Over 10 million people watched the Fox News coverage of the 2012 election, but when President Obama spoke, more than 80% of them tuned out. The fact that 80% of the Fox News audience switched away speaks volumes not only about who these Fox News viewers are, but also their unwillingness to listen to the President’s message. That should be no surprise since Fox’s programs preach hate against President Obama. You can read the entire article here

Why does Fox News hate Obama? This article gives a possible explanation – http://voices.yahoo.com/why-fox-news-hates-obama-6570698.html?cat=75

People who watches Fox News has many reasons to hate President Obama. Most voted for John McCain and Mitt Romney and are angry they lost the 2008 & 2012 elections. Others hate Obama because he’s black and cannot accept the idea of having a black president.

Anti-Obama hate and misinformation spread by Fox has contributed greatly to dividing this country.

Fox News main agenda is 2 fold:

1. Delivering a Republican agenda to as many people as possible to influence the way people vote and election outcomes. Remember how Republican campaign strategist Karl Rove was on Fox the night of the 2012 election? He’s been a regular on Fox for years. Note how they are friendly to Republican congressmen and conservative ideas while critical of President Obama and Democrats.

2. Ratings and viewership.

The more people watches Fox, the more money they can demand and bring in for advertising. Fox has won on litigation which establishes that they do not have to tell the truth. Fox can legally LIE. Sensationalizing everything helps get viewer hooked into watching them on a regular basis and brainwashes them into hating Obama and Democrats, who are for the middle class and the poor.

When low income people vote for Republicans, they are voting against their own best interests.   It takes a lot of false information, brainwashing and propaganda to make poor people vote for Republicans who are for eliminating Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security,  Affordable Healthcare, increasing the minimum wage and more.
