President Obama Crusades Statement is The Truth
When President Barack Obama said, in reference to Islamic extremism, “Lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ, he spoke the truth, because it is a historic fact that Christians DID commit atrocities during the Crusades.
According to Wikipedia, over 1 million people died during the Crusades from 1095 to 1291.
The reaction by Republicans was outrage and more Obama hate. Their reaction exemplifies how Republicans not only are Science deniers, they are FACT deniers as well.
- Religion & Christianity was responsible for the Spanish Inquisition and people being burned alive on a stake for witchcraft.
- Christians condoned and practiced slavery citing the bible to justify it.
- Christians slaughtered American Indians by the thousands.
The notion that Christians has been saintly and without fault is a fantasy and truth denial.
One of Christ’s most profound statements is, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”
1st John 1:6-9, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Republicans went nuts over Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s “America’s Chickens Are Coming Home To Roost” sermon and labeled Barack Obama as UN-American. The moral of the sermon is that the United States HAS committed atrocities and is not without sin or fault.
The illegal and unprovoked War against Iraq by Republican President George W. Bush caused the deaths of over 4,000 American troops and the deaths of over 100,000 Iraq citizens.
Republicans pretend to be such good Christians, but on numerous occasions has engaged in “false witness” against President Obama, a violation of one of the Ten Commandments.
