Cutting Wasteful Military Spending Could help Pay for Entitlements

Pentagon buries evidence of $125 billion in bureaucratic waste

The Pentagon has buried an internal study that exposed $125 billion in administrative waste in its business operations amid fears Congress would use the findings as an excuse to slash the defense budget, according to interviews and confidential memos obtained by The Washington Post.

Over $125 Billion in Bureaucratic Military Waste, yet Republicans want to spend MORE on the Military while cutting Health Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid & Social Security.

The U.S. already spends more on the military than 14 countries combined.  We have nothing to show for it, except a huge debt & crumbling infrastructure.

Republicans are constantly wanting to cut “Entitlements” such as SNAP, Health Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid & Social Security.

The reason other countries has better airports, roads, bridges and Health Insurance everyone is because they don’t waste billions on their military.

In 1991, Bernie Sanders made the above speech demanding that congress stop wasteful military spending. Since that time the military budge has only increased.

President Eisenhower was right about the vast military complex and military spending.

This was the Republican Party Platform in 1956 when President Eisenhower was campaigning to be re-elected as President. This is the platform Republicans should have TODAY.

If Republicans would make cutting wasteful spending a top priority, there would be funds to pay down our huge debt, fix our crumbling infrastructure and for programs which help average Americans such as SNAP, Health Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid & Social Security.
